How She Wears A White Blouse

I started this painting a couple of weeks ago. I started out with collage paper on hot press watercolor paper. The underpainting with payne's gray and white acrylic. The next layer I added some color, not too many colors. The fun started when I started adding alcohol inks, gouache, a layer of oil paint glazes.....it's mixed media! I have been thinking about what I like to paint and why. I love fashion and I love Ann Demeulemeester. I am also attracted to fabric and how it folds and the abstract patterns the folds make. But I mostly paint because it is my magic time. It is my santuary from a very challenging and difficult time in my life. I get to play with God and be transported. Thank God for art. It keeps me going. Don't get me wrong, I am a tough girl and will get through all the the challenges and I know I am not alone. It is so nice to share my experience here with you that appreciate it.
